possibly getting a 6.4

so after rolling my 7.3 in Jan, the dust is finally settling. I am going to probably pick up a 08 F250 on Monday. As much as I've read on the forum...I should be doing oil changes every 5k miles, fuel filters every 10k, and draining the water seperator once a month...Anything else I should be asking, looking for etc when I go to pick up my new truck? Thanks guys

Check the Degas bottle for proper level. When the truck is cold it should be at the lower mark. When hot it should be at the upper mark. If not something is wrong. Take a good ride to get it to temp then check level.

Try to see if you can run a oasis report. Just to tell what have been done to the truck. Also find out what year the truck was built. If I was you and if that truck is a job 1 or 2 I would not buy it. Just because all the problems I have been reading about those built trucks. I'm sure there is a bunch of them out on the road that haven't had any problems, but I rather be safe then sorry. But it is your money and if it is the truck that you want I hope the best for you.
