Help With a few things...

Hey Guys,

Personally, i am a cummins guy but my pops insisted on buying a PS and ended up with a 2010 F450 6.4. He thinks that there is something wrong with the truck because he does nearly all highway driving and can't top 9.3 mpg. Also, he has 40,000 miles on the odometer so it's def. broken in. Anybody have any suggestions? Any programmers that PS's respond well to? He thinks there's something wrong with it because we both have diesels but mine is a 2006 Rame 2500 mega cab with a 6" lift and 37" tires and I'm getting 12mpg while he gets 9 in a stock truck.

Second question, the truck rides like there are Ibeams welded in place of the suspension when unloaded and he's currently running Hankook tires. Are there any tires that will wear well and help soften the blow in the cab? I know the BFG TA/KO have soft sidewalls and improve my ride but don't know if they make a 10 ply. Any help would be appreciated!

dont know about the tires.but do a dpf delete search,or a search on the black maxx or spartan.those are the two best tuners imo.

Cool, thx man. Those tuner void warranty? He bought the extended warranty through Ford to 100k so need to be careful. I know, for dodges, the smarty's don't leave any trace once removed, same deal with these? Thanks!

i would say if they wanted to they can find traces.and yes itll void the warranty.im sure youve heard of black maxx by h&s in the dodge world.you have to remove the dpf to get a decent mpg boost but its a 250hp/800lb upgrade with this tuner.you do the searches youll see what im talking about.just keep the dpf and when it goes to the deal put it back on and pull the tuner.you should be fine.

Well your pops truck probably has 488 gears and that's average for that set up. If it's 4x4 that the hubs are free.
other than that....you can do what the other suggested.....

I run michelin tires and they ride just as good as my 350 single wheel. BFG doesnt make a 19.5 for the 450.
