Is this normal?

Since I bought the truck, i still haven't experienced the regen process. Previous owner said it would regen on every 3rd or 4th fill up. I have already put 900 miles and wanted to see your opinion.

thanks

My new 2010 has been regen about every 300 miles, little less if its city driving and little more when highway. Im guessing yours is doing it but your missing the message on the display, it shows "cleaning exhaust filter" for about 3 seconds on mine then goes away. I run the system test after a while to see if its done. I can now tell when it is doing regen by the subtle difference in engine noise and just feels a little different. Mine regens for about 15 minutes.

If it has the latest flash, the console will only say cleaning exhaust filter for a few seconds. Easy to miss.

Some people can tell when the truck regens by sound. I cannot, I am sure it has went into REGEN, you probably just didn't notice.

I think alot of it has to do with fuel you use and driving conditions.Mine goes every 3 to 4 tanks. If I use diesel out of a farm tank it is every 2 tanks

The latest flash forces the truck into REGEN after so many miles if it has not done it on it own. Seems like it is around 600 miles, but don't quote me on the mileage.

On of the Techs can verify.
