what the heck is it?

ok i sold the 7.3 and just bought a 08 F-350 DRW, and was wondering what is the thing on the passanger side, on the side of the dash board, the thing where you have to pop a little tab off. it has a picture of a diesel pump crossed out.. i know i suck at explaining

probably the impact reset button resets the inertia switch if you vehicle is in an accident it will kill your fuel pump

yeah it is the inertia switch. 7.3's have em too but they are behind the kick panel under the dash on the passenger side.

maybe i need to start a new thread, but i'll try it here first. the truck has 61,000 miles, and was wondering if i can buy extended waranty, or is it too late. and do you reccomend it.
