3.55 vs 3.73

Are there any pros or cons between the 3.73 gears and the 3.55 they are using now? What effect would 35/12.50/20 nittos have on the 3.55 gears?

4.8% difference...between the gears or at 2k rpm the drop would be 1903 rpm. Tires have no effect, you will just drop the %. Overall drop will be the % and the drop the 35" tires gave you.

Good question. I assume mpg's will be a lil better with 3:55 but I may be wrong.

3.73's will have a pro if you tow much weight ever... ive got 4.88's in my f450.... while with the lower gears (higher numerically) you will see worse fuel econonmy they seem to stay in the powerband better when towing, but you do lose top speed
