Used 08 250's price tags

hey guys,

I just sold my 05 Titan and planning on buying a used 6.4 v8. I did a lot of reading on here and learned a lot of useful info. From my car research I found a lot of used 08's from 32k up to 36k dollars. My question is whether I'll be able to knock the listing price down to around 30k as Ill be putting down about 50% down payment and the rest I'd like to finance to keep the monthly payment low.

I didn't know whether used is similar to new car purchasing from a dealer, where I saw members post their purchase thousands off below the original sticker price. (52 sticker price & bought for 46k)

originally I wanted to get a 6.0 but soon changed my mind after reading and test driving a 6.4 plus for bit more money I would be getting a newer vehicle with more redesigned exterior and inside.

Thanks,
Jacob

So, the price tag in pretty negotiable unlike in other used cars? Are ford dealership pretty desperate in selling these f250's? Sorry for all these questions, I won't be able to do any car buying until I get back from out of town in next 2 week and wanted to get the feel in advance.

I bought mine from an individual here on the forum. Avoid the dealers if you want to pay less. Look on Craigslist as well. I had to travel 700 miles to get what i wanted at a good price but it was worth it.

You can do much better then that. My 2010 stickered for 53, I got it for 39. Seen some guys post better deals then that.

I got my 2010 that stickered for 53k for 38.5k plus TTL. Good deals to be had on the new ones which made buying used for me not an option.

In my research, the resale values of diesels have done well for themselves after 2008.

I bought my 08' lariat crew cab when it was barely a year old with 32xxx miles on it for $32,000. I would think you could get one in the upper $20,000 by now.
