Need a little help on buying a new to me truck

I am looking at a 08 (build date 2/08) super crew. It is the FX4 with cloth bucket power seats, upfitter switches, trailer break, premium sound, adjustable pedals, reverse camera, 6" fabtech lift, 20" wheels/tires, amp power running boards, 12" flip down DVD in the back, and spartan tuner with DPF delete and S&B intake. Truck has 16k miles on it and looks brand new. Owner is asking $39K for the truck, what would be a good buy for both him and me?? Oasis and carfax both come back clean.

You can buy a brand new 2010 loaded Lairet for that price, granted it doesn't come with a turner or aftermarket intake.

Sounds like a nice truck, but I would check some dealer lots before pulling the trigger. Too much $ in my OP

I looked at used, ended up buying new. The rebates and the money dealers are willing to take off 2010's to get them off the lots are unbeatable. Go talk to a dealer, see what you can get, then if you still want to buy his truck, make a decision on what you are willing to pay, and don't budge. You can get a new one for close to that price. Probably cheaper if you are willing to go with and XLT.

OK. . . I picked up my 08 KR for $31K, but soon after i picked up the 8" lift and 38" tires + programer and delete pipe/intake and exsaust . . . . the total for all that **** was $7500

so you can see that if you know for a fact that that truck is what you want and that you REALLY WANT all the extras like i do lol, then its not a bad deal.

if you dont REALLY WANT all that **** than a brand new powerstroke has your name on it at your local dealership for a comparable price!

Thanks for the help guys. I still don't know what to do though. I really don't care to much for a lift but the other add-ons are things I would like on a truck. Been talking to a few dealers and the best deal so far is $39k on an xlt basically like this truck.

remember warranty is gone on the 08 with all the tuner and DPF delete etc...

also in Sep of 08 i bought my 08 with 17,000 miles (bone stock of course) for $30,000 plus a one way ticket to texas..... i think that is way too high priced for no warranty, lift you dont care for, etc.... my 2cents
