I might be scared....
Ive been reading the posts over at the fledgling 6.7l forums, I really think I would be scared of the new engine .
Those guys will be feeling around in the dark for a few years before they know for sure their engine is a solid design. Us 6.4 guys got a pretty good grasp on what we have and are generally impressed and happy. It will be awhile before the 6.7'ers Know enough to be positive with all the new emmissions engine config., and electronics. I may end up with a 2011+ ford sometime down the road , but Im sure glad I now get to watch its trial by fire for the next few years .

The 6.7 has to be a solid unit.
It's basically Ford's last chance at getting it right after the 6.0 woes and the fuel drinking 6.4 engines. I remember when I got into diesels and wanted one because my buddy had a 7.3 - sound, power, 20 MPG, reliablility. That's what this 6.7 has to deliver and I'm confident Ford made damn sure that it's going to do that and more. Like you said - I guess in a year or two we'll be able to make that decision. |
