High idle????

Hi guys a quick question about these trucks; I have noticed the truck going into a high idle mode a couple times now, it just did it again and I am wondering if that has something to do with the Re-gen? Seems like alot of heat under the hood too. I havent seen a DPF cleaning message yet on my screen either. Maybe I missed it though. Guess I should suck it up and get the DPF delete sooner than later.

What is your current ambient temperature?

Is the truck doing this while cold, or while hot? Your post does not make that very clear. Heat underhood is pretty normal on these things, there isn't a lot of room to allow air past that overcrowded engine.

it does it when its warm and been running for awhile. I think it is probably the re-gen but I havent seen the message pop up.

From my experience, re-gen never raises idle speed. What is the engine coolant temp at when it raises its idle? Your thermostat may be stuck open, prohibiting proper engine warm up.

what flash do you have(when was the last time the dealer had it)?i think in jan or feb they came out with a new flash that it will only pop up for a few seconds and then goes away.but regen shouldnt take place unless you are driving,or atleast that is what mine does.
