Turbo Inlet Tube

Just got my 08 550 back from the dealership. The truck went into regen mode twice in less than 75 miles. The second time truck went into regen it never came out of it. Truck had no power would not go over 30 mph. Had it towed to the dealership last friday. They came up with code PO400 they found that the right side turbo inlet tube had a crack at the flex joint. Seems to be working fine now. Any body else have this happen to them . Bought the truck new only has 22,500 mles

unfortunately I think it is all too common for these trucks. one of my trucks only has 27000 and it has had a cracked up-pipe for a few thousand miles now. but I have not ran into the Regen issue.

Turbo Inlet Tube Leak

Howdy all, just wanted to share what I just came across one day when I got on the freeway I noticed a louder than normal sound coming from the pump station aka flux capacitor u know that extremely complicated yet really powerful 6.4L PS, and to make a long story short I assumed an exhaust leak so I had my wife hit the skinny pedal while looking @ the turbo area and sure enough black smoke come out of the Turbo Inlet Tube right where the solid part meets the flex part so since the dealership couldn's get to it for 3 days I pulled it loose myself and low & behold I cant get it out so it's @ the dealership now hopefully they can swap it out without the 12 hour cab removal cause my warranty is no more. I also assume that my DPF is probably toast as well but I plan to DELETE it.
