EOT what do you guys see need help ASAP

ok running unloaded I am seeing 208-2010 EOT and 198-202 ECT

ambient temp has been around 80-89

seems high? want to see what you guys are seeing

maybe I have an oil cooler or thermostat problem?


please list your eot and ect and ambient temps

Unloaded....198 ECT with 201 EOT.......95 degrees here in Houston

Don't remember my ECT but my EOT has been 199 to 201. It's been balls-hot in new orleans and it's stayed the same throughout.

mine wil stay at those temps if I am at 50mph but once I hit 75 that is when the temps go up

194 ECT 198 EOT Typically. Between 80-90 degrees here. Highway (about 65mph) I see around 198 ECT and 201 EOT.

You have 8* spread, your truck needs thermostats, and possibly a radiator if it isn't leaking already, as per the TSB.

Glad someone asked this question as I have been wondering about it as well.

My EOT runs 195 to 200 (w/o towing). Not sure what the ECT is (geting readings via the ODB II port) but I can say that the EOT usually runs 105 to 110 above ambient the last week or so. I'm in Houston as well and today EOT was 200 (Highway speeds - 60 mph) and ambient was 95 degress.

Same area, exactly the same temps.

My biggest concern is my EFT1 temp. It consistently runs in the 150's. It was running in the 160's today. I saw it hit 168 at one point.

194 EOT and ECT unloaded at 80-90 ambient. Was pulling 10k up some sustained grades last week, and seen 215 - 220 EOT and ECT. Seems a little high, but never seen EGTs get past 1200 degrees.

if your eft1 temp is high you probably have air in your fuel cooler system

their is resevoir driver side close to the firewall bleeder valve to the left of it takes on allen key

i bled mine was runnin 148 now it sits at 108-124
