Funny noise after oil change

just had an oil (Delo 15w-40) change, and now I hear a funny ticking noice under the hood, any ideas. never noticed it before, last oil had 5200 miles on it??

After reading the forums it sounds like almost all these trucks make a ticking noise after an oil change. I did mine at 3k miles and had the same tick and it eventually went away. My Ford dealer had no clue what it was. He tried to say it was because of my DPF back 5" exhaust. Ha/Ha Try doing a search and you will probably find what you are looking for

Funny, mine always sounds nicer after an oil change. Never had any ticking noise...

the tick you may have is the one almost everybody gets. and it comes from the driver side rear of the block. there is some tsb on it saying it's normal. but i thought i had the tick to and went to the dealer and they replaced my rocker arms, cross braces, valve guides, injector o rings and a few other things and got rid of my tick witch was more like a nock.
