Advance Autoparts has been running coupons (sign up for their email offers) for $20 off $50, $20 off $100, and $30 off $150, and several other variations. Meanwhile Rotella-T6 5W40 (synthetic) is $19.99. I bought 11 gallons as it doesn't go bad sitting on the shelf in my garage.

using dino oil when a better far cheaper product is available ...is just plain stupid IMO do the math on using amsoil or schaffers even with 10,000 change and 2 filters it still works out cheaper than 3 dino changes .....remember that lady on late night tv "Stop the Madness " lol

All it takes is one or two injectors in a newer truck and your going cheap on oil aint so cheap anymore not to mention a plugged up oil cooler or egr valve ....

What data is available to support that Amsoil and/or Shaffers can help with the issues stated? Not trying to argue....both are excellent products.

I work for one of the "majors" that produces one of the products mentioned in this thread. Marketing can be a very convincing siren.....I have seen engines cracked open with a million miles on them using every major branded HDEO. All protected well and contributed to the life of the engine. However, none have been proven to be the magic elixir as many tout.
