Dealer Finally Agrees To Trade..Should I?
I posted a few weeks ago (or was it months) about my local dealer having a 2010 Lariat F350 FX4 CC in Pueblo Gold that has been there for MANY months. I have been trying to get them to take my 2008 Pueblo Gold F250 CC XLT with no money, keeping my payment the same, and basically put me in the 2010 truck. I figured if they sat on it much longer I might get the deal I want. Well, they called today and said they now have the deal within $30 per month. Should I do the deal or be real hard line with them? They are also going to transfer over my Leer Cap and my Toyo tires and after market wheels. The FX4 has all options except nav and moon roof. My XLT is nicely equipped and I am quite happy with it. Thoughts?

I'm not sure what I am missing... you have a 2008 and a you want to trade it in and get a 2010 for the same payment and they said they'll do it for $30 bucks more per month. Seems like a good deal to get a new truck for free. I don't see how they could do that.

I'm on my way (they are only 10 minutes away) to see if that is what they do indeed mean.

You sure it's a diesel? IIRC someone on here a while back was working almost the same deal until they started up the new truck and it was a gasser.

Just got home. Here is the deal. The truck is a 2010 Lariat FX4 F350 with all the options except nav and moon roof. It is a long bed. So, they can't put my canopy on it as my 2008 is a short bed. Also, the truck has 20" wheels and Goodyear Wrangler AT tires so my 18" Toyo will not fit. They will do the deal for my truck, put a new canopy on the 2010 truck, and my payment will go up about $24 dollars per month. The term will go from 71 months left to 84 months on the new truck. No money from me. As they say on tv, "Deal Or No Deal"?

24x84=2016 + 13 x whatever the new payments are. I will take a shot and say the new payments are 1,000. So 13,000 + 2,016=15,016. So for 15,000 dollars you are getting a brand new truck. I'd say that sound like a pretty good deal especially if you have a lot of miles on your truck.

Actually the new payment is $765 per month (my current payment is $741).
