Well when I just put my DPF back on last weekend for it to go to the dealer to get fixed I listened to it with the 4" MBRP I have on with the dpf with no muffler and it definitely gave it a little bit of a better tone than bone stock. Nothing crazy, its still pretty silent

No not really. I dont run a smoky tune or anything when daily drive, just run the 210 tune and dont do anything stupid with the truck on the road to attract attention. If I need to take the truck to the dealer I just throw the stock intake and DPF back on and load the stock tune. Takes 20 minutes to do the intake, a little longer for the DPF, its not a big deal.

DPF back kits are mainly for looks as sound/performance is not changed much at all.
