Black Smoke on Accel.

Well, 15,000 kms and my first issue. It just started to emit black smoke from the tailpipe when I give it some throttle, light or heavy, doesn't matter. Even at idle if I give it some juice it will puff out some black smoke. Happened after a 300km round trip towing our 7000 lb trailer. No check engine light, runs fine as far as I can tell. My guess would be a cracked DPF, but we'll see when I take it in next tuesday.

sounds like a cracked or clogged dpf as you stated.

you shouldnt have any problems with the dealer fixing that for you at all

Cracked DPFs could actually cause more restriction and permanent regen cycle (more smoke)

That would be nice! I wouldn't want to fix it then

My MPG is exactly the same as before.

It's not much black smoke, but enough that I can see it when I give it some throttle / accelerate in my passenger side mirror.

Mine was cracked. Got better mpg and less regen. I did take it to the dealer to have it replaced before I deleted it.
