Black Smoke on Accel.
Well, 15,000 kms and my first issue. It just started to emit black smoke from the tailpipe when I give it some throttle, light or heavy, doesn't matter. Even at idle if I give it some juice it will puff out some black smoke. Happened after a 300km round trip towing our 7000 lb trailer. No check engine light, runs fine as far as I can tell. My guess would be a cracked DPF, but we'll see when I take it in next tuesday.

sounds like a cracked or clogged dpf as you stated.
you shouldnt have any problems with the dealer fixing that for you at all |

if it's a cracked dpf shouldn't their be an mpg increase?

Cracked DPFs could actually cause more restriction and permanent regen cycle (more smoke)

That would be nice! I wouldn't want to fix it then
![]() My MPG is exactly the same as before. It's not much black smoke, but enough that I can see it when I give it some throttle / accelerate in my passenger side mirror. |

Mine was cracked. Got better mpg and less regen. I did take it to the dealer to have it replaced before I deleted it.
