Work Truck

Hello,
This is my welding rig that I make my living with. I like the 6.4 but I would like more MPG's. The power is great. Counting the weight of the bed, welding machine, tools, and bottles I estimate that I have added about 3000 pounds to the truck. This is my last truck hoping that I don't wear out before it does. If any of you have any suggestions on how to get more MPG's, I would appreciate it. I really enjoy looking at all the cool trucks that you guys post on this forum. Also all the information.

Very Nice! I love that flat bed. Did you make that or is it a company conversion? I've never seen a flat bed like that before, hope you enjoy your 6.4.

To get mileage from a 6.4 you have to delete the DPF/DOC.

I built the bed myself. It took me about five months in between jobs to build. Lots of work. Thanks for the compliment. I know what DPF means. What does the DOC stand for?

Nice job on the bed, I dig that style as I have a 450 King Ranch 4x4 CC DRW that I haul horses with a Fifth Wheel with..... I would like a "West Coast Hauler" sort of bed like that with a tool box and fuel tank up front..

Anyway, you need to get a SPARTAN Tuner, and do Cat Kill and DPF as well. You would only be doing the Planet and your Pocketbook a favour....
