Not really just a little better throttle response. You would need to tune and delete to get the best MPGs out of these trucks.

You will very likely get a check engine light with an AFE on a stock truck. S&B is the way to go for stock trucks.

I never had an issues out of my AFE but a lot of people have had a CEL pop up.

If you have either on the truck save the stock intake. you will need to put it back on for warranty work unless you dealer is ok with them

I'm running a AFE and I used to get CEL but I stopped once I got my truck reflashed last year. I get around 11 mpg around town but that's partly due to the anti-gel stuff I run year round.
