Still no regen?
I've got almost 800 miles on the truck now, and I haven't seen a message for a regen?
I remember reading some posts about how some of the newer flashes had the message only coming on for a few seconds at the beginning of the cycle, so maybe I just missed the message. How long would the message stay on with the 2010's? I figured I would have probably had 2 regen's by now with all that I've read. Just wanna make sure I don't sit around and let this DPF get clogged up on me if it's not cleaning like it's supposed to. I took a little trip on the interstate today cruising at 70-75 for about 40 mins each way and thought for sure I'd see the message at some point, but never did. |

Iam just taking a guess but it mite be because your truck is new and it mite take a whlie to build up enough soot. I believe it looks at back pressure and with your truck being new and the exhaust pretty clean so to speak it just hasnt gotten dirty enough to cause the high back pressure to send it into regen. If you do a system check it will tell if its cleaning the exhaust filter.

I have about 1200 miles on mine now. I think it was around 800 or 900 when I noticed the first regen. The message only stayed up maybe 10 seconds, if that. I've only noticed the regen twice, that first time and one other.

Like i stated above if you do a system check it will say "cleaning exhaust filter" if its in regen. It will be the last check it runs after air filter and fuel level and stuff. press the middle button between reset and info. Cant remeber if the button says settings or system. Then it will tell you to press reset for system check. Thats a good way to check if you missed the message that pops up when it starts

Do you do a lot of highway driving? I heard that the temp at highway driving will do the same thing and make the regen times less frequent. I do a lot of highway and I had my first regen after 1400 miles and now I've got 3500 and I have not had the second one yet. I had the master cylinder replaced last week and had them check it out and they said everything seems fine.

I don't generally do all that much highway driving, but it has worked out that most of these first 800 miles has been highway miles. After the replies, I'm thinking maybe I either missed the message or it may not have even went into regen yet. I was just expecting that I would have had a regen at 300-400 miles or so. I'll keep looking out for one sometime soon. Just trying to make sure this
thing is working like it's supposed to and not headed towards clogging up on me. I wish we didn't even have to worry about these things on our stock trucks!!
