Towing question
Would a (2010) F250 have any trouble pulling a 38' boat with a dry weight of 13,600 lbs? Fuel capacity would be 300 gallons, so that is something to consider.

I think it's only rated to pull 12,500 lbs , so yes that might be a problem. Unless it's a dually. Loaded with fuel, you'll be @ 16,200 lbs.

No it wont have any trouble pulling it. I don't know what my truck is rated for, but i know i've grossed 16,800 without issue driving from atlanta GA to northwest OH, that weight was verified by a DOT scale. I know i've pulled heavier than that too, probably grossing around 25K, but i don't recommend it for any kind of distance, stopping gets a bit squirley.

Even at 16,200# i dont' see it being too bad to stop. Especially with trailer brakes. Just don't tailgate.

youlll be fine pulling that boat..they arny to heavy on the tongue..but do you self a favour and fill up close to the ramp if at all possible. at a little more the 6 lbs a gal it adds up quick....thats about 2000 lbs of weight you dont need to be dragging around
what kind of trailer is it on |
