Is this a deal or not?

Ok guys, here's what I have.
The Aafes dealer has a left over 09 F-250 CC SB XL 6.4L with a 6 spd that they are trying to get rid of. Here's the specs.

XL
Pueblo Gold ext / Med Stone int
FX4 package
3.73 limited slip rear
Cloth bucket seats
ESOF
Traction Control
Power Equipment group (PW, PL, power mirrors, keyless entry)
XL Plus Package (cd player, cruise, tilt)

They are asking $30,500 + ttl.
Is that decent price for that pickup? It is brand new, just the usual drive around the lot miles on it.
My prob is that it's not really the pickup I "want". But it's close.
So, for those of you that have XL's out there, are they decent? This would be my DD and not really a "work" truck.
What is the difference between this and an XLT with the way it's optioned?
What I can think of is
-no carpet (I'm ok with this)
-lower quality radio/speakers
-no tint on windows (easily fixed)

If this is a decent price, is this something I could drive for a year and come out ok on, or would I not get anything for trade/resale on it because it's an XL?

Sorry it's so long, but I have a lot of questions, and have no experience with the 6.4's and not a lot of time left to pull the trigger on this deal!

-obviously black bumpers and grill
-steel wheels

I think you could come out OK, beings that it has some power options, but the XL won't fetch the money a higher trim package would for obvious reasons

You didn't mention whether its 2wd or 4wd??? That will also come into play for resale value

Its only an XL, but I still think that's a good price, and you get a 6spd

My buddy has an 06 SD with the 5.4 in it with an auto trans, same specs as yours without the power options, cruise, and CD player, and it is a SC LB, and the sticker price was 32k when it was new . That should help put it in perspective

Not a bad price for an '09.

Some things to consider...the truck is a '09 and technically it's 2 yrs old, now. It is an XL, which may or may not be a problem for you...but when it come time to sell her, it will make a major difference. The XL's do not have the same sound dampening in the cab as the XLT's and above.

I wish I could drive it, or even see it in person before I made a decision, but it's in the states and I have to make a decision before I leave.

Oh, and sticker on it back in 09 was $44,400.

I know when I was looking at a truck in TX, there were a few guys here that were more than willing to take it for a drive. Give a shout out to people in that area
