New guy looking for answers

Ok so I bought a 08 F350 4x4 6.4L crew cab super duty. I paid 40k for it loaded with 30k miles. WHY is the fuel economy non existant? I have an intake and exhaust as well as a PPE tune. I run 35 in BFG AT TA. Any suggestions?

Ok so I am rid of the DPF and now with a new PPE tune. Very nice I may add. Also PPE told me to run Diesel Fuel Boost. I have just got my first bottle and I will be testing. Look for updates. With the new PPE tune and no DPF I gained almost 3 mpg so far. that puts me at 15.4. I will keep track but so far that looks like where I will fall. Is the normal for what I have?
