Catalytic Converter Removal

I've been told that I could remove the catalytic converter on my 2008 6.4 f250 for better mileage, remove de dps sensor and reprogram the computer to get rid of the error messages.

I've searched some threads in here but havent found anything concrete about it.

Can someone tell me how to do this? They wanted to charge me $1,300

$1,300 is about the only way to do it. Your gunna need a Flo-Pro or equivilent delete pipe and the right tuner to fool the trucks computer. I deleted mine for fairly cheap, only $600. The tuner I have is an older re-tuned Superchips by KEM(Nutty Professor here on the Org.) Their extremely hard to find these days because only so many were made and Spartan/SCT/H&S sale mostly all the 6.4 tuners.

I believe Matt from Cobbs Diesel might still have one of the KEM tuners at his shop, you just gunna have to look around. Hope this helped!

Thanks for the info.

I found someone that would do the whole thing for $900.
Hopefully I can have him do it for $800.

Will post again.

I would be careful beating people up on price when you're talking about the warranty on a $50k truck! Just saying in the end you always get what you pay for!

At the end I did all by my self.
Bought the power programmer from Ebay, had a muffler shop remove the cathalytic and the dpf.

Though i got the programmer stolen like a month ago..
