help ford dealer screwing around with me

just wandering if anyone can help with some info, bought a used 08 ford f350 with 50,000 km and was driving all of a sudden engine started to knock and loss power took truck to closest ford dealer and has been in the shop for a month, dealer told me that injectors failed and fried the pistons and now just waiting to get authorization from ford canada on what to do. so im at my whits end because i use my truck everyday for work, dealer told me that ford might put a whole new engine in and it could be a small block 6.4 ???? has anyone else had this problem or any advice please help . thanx

I haven't had that kind of motor trouble, but the dealer experience you are having is very common. My truck (which I need for work too) sits for weeks at the dealers - often just in the lot waiting for attention.

Ahh, sorry missed that part. Yes that sucks. Sorry about your luck. A month does sound excessive, a couple weeks maybe, but a month is too much.

Where you from btw? Noticed you said Ford Canada. Calgary here.
