isspro ev2 gauges?
i am in the process of installing isspro ev2 gauge kit. got it all installed and no back lights. i am pulling ignition wire from fuse 45 and dimmer from blue wire/red stripe coming out of back of dimmer switch, Is this correct?MY question is , does the dimmer, ignition and ground wire for dimmer circuit have to be hooked up in order for me to check and make sure gauge itself is working?

Are you using the potentiomete/wiring harness that Isspro sells?
How did you tap into the wire for dimmer? What about ignition on source? Have you checked for power to the gauges with a muti meter / test light? |

No sir i am not using the harness that isspro sells, instead i am using 18 gauge wire that isspro said you could use instead. I am using the daisy chain method on the installation instructions. i connnected to the dimmer wire by stripping it back and soldering in the dimmer wire to the gauge. What is the best way to check for power to the gauge. I hooked everything up earlier and double checked wiring, but when i hooked up power to ignition, it blew the fuse. I have taken everthing back out and starting over to assure proper wiring, dont want to ruin gauges or mess up truck, any advice on suggested ignition fuse to use and best way to jump power off of sue is appreciated. thanks in advance
