popping sound or flexing

Need advice where to look, I noticed a load popping, or clunking noise when starting to brake. I checked everything to be tight it sounds like its coming from the rear left area I could be wrong. The frist time I noticed it was a few months ago when we got a lot of snow and the bed was full of snow. Now the bed is empty and its still there, its pretty load when it happens. Or could it be the suspension flexing, any thoughts It does not happen if I apply the brake easy. Also have no problems while driving at any speed only when starting to brake and it seems when the truck weight starts to shift.

Well after laying under thr truck for about a half hour looking all over I did find somthing. It seems my front axle is kicked about .25" to the left there for the front bump stop bracket was rubbing and being pinched on the coil spring on suspension travel. So that would explain why I would hear it when braking the weight would shift causing the spring to compress and hit the bracket. After I removed it I took it for a ride and so far so good. It looks like rize's track bar bracket needs to be a bit longer to center the front axle. So I just ordered an icon adj. trackbarwoot: and we will see what happens. Just a note anyone with a RIZE kit to look for
