Clearance lights

My 250 didn't come with clearance lights and I am wanting to put a set on. Does anyone know if all the superdutys are prewired or do I need the whole kit? My mod shop guy told me I needed to get a set of OEM lights instead of the aftermarket ones. He said the aftermarket ones don't fit as well and eventually will fade and/or leak. Anyone have a full set of OEM lights laying around they want to get rid of?

I bought a set of the pacer lights just like oem, fit like a glove, no leaks. I dont expect it will fade either. I cant see how fords amber lens can be that much different than pacers and if it does fade you can swap them out in seconds for just a few bucks. Very easy to install, only took me a few hours and all you have to do is tap into your headlight switch or if you want to go all out you can get the wiring harness. The harness is about $35 but its really not needed. I spliced my power line from where the wiring harness would connect and put it on a seperate switch.

In the passenger kickpanel, there is already the switched power connection to do this. All you have to do is run the wire from the female ends down there to the roof. The only hard part is convincing yourself to cut five holes in your perfectly good roof.

Maybe I used a different pigtail to splice into, on my 08 I didnt see any place to connect a wiring harness in the passenger kickpanel. Im a little worried now because i used an empty connector that was taped to the wires that went to my headlight switch.

I just realized you have a 6.4. The kickpanel thing is for the OBS.

I dont believe a truck without the lights comes prewired. my 6.0 didnt. it isnt too hard to wire them up though. if you buy a factory harness, it will plug right in.

I took the headliner out of our drag truck and there is no wiring there for the lights. It wouldn't be hard to wire up if you don't want to pay for the factory wiring.
