I bought my '08 from existing dealer inventory and it came with the Supplemental Cab Heater. I can honestly tell you that prior to purchase, I would have never ordered it........however, after having it I wouldn't consider ordering another one without it. If you run the fan at 1 or 2 (preferably 1) you will have almost instantaneous warm (not hot) air. On a cold morning, after scraping ice off the windshield, mildly warm air feels damn good. I would rather have the supplemental heater than heated seats (my '05 had the heated seats).

fords seats are surprisingly slow to heat up. gm's are much faster and they have six settings. i wouldn't bother getting the heated seats in another ford. but in the gm its a must they are so much more convenient the heat is almost instantaneous and the heat is much more constant. fords seem to get too hot and then back off to almost nothing and then turn on again its almost like there is a 20-30 deg difference between where they cycle on and off.
