B&W Goosneck exhaust drop

I recently had a B&W turnover ball goosneck hitch installed on my 09 F-250 Powerstroke. To make room for the hitch they had to put a drop bracket on my exhaust, making my exhaust tip sit about 6 inches lower. I've seen quite a few trucks on the road with the same problem. I do not like the way it looks. Any tips on how to get it back to stock height with minimal modification of my exhaust?

My dads 09 has the same hitch and his Banks 4 inch exhaust dosent rub and there are no modifications to the system, so i dont see why the factory exhaust would need to be changed.

Aftermarket exhausts do have problems with B+W hitches. The factory pipe bends really high, and almost touches the bottom side of the bed. When the bracketry is installed for the hitch, the pipe interferes. There is a modified hanger bracket that has to be installed, or the tail end of the pipe will be loose. Once installed, the end of the pipe hangs around 4-6" lower.

I have this problem with my F450, and used to have it with me F350. After I installed a 4" magnaflow exhaust, it is no longer an issue. The aftermarket pipe doesn't bend nearly as high above the axle, and leaves plenty of space to clear the hitch parts.

I have an 08 and it required the use of the drop down brackets to clear the hitch. Maybe in prior years it was not needed.

I have the same hitch on my truck and they lowered mine doun really far to but i adjusted the aftermarket bracket that comes with the hitch to the highest spot and its about a quater of an inch away from the hitch but brings the tip up a couple of inches.

I have the '09 and put the same hitch on my rig with the same problem - stock exhaust had to be lowered with a B&W bracket. I took the truck to a muffler shop and had them cut three to four inches off the exhaust pipe (under the bed, over the axle) and raised the exhaust tip back up. Not as high as stock, but better than it was. Cost was about $35.00.
