Removing 4x4 stickers

I am wanting to remove the 4x4 stickers on my truck. Has anybody else done this? Cam I just heat them up with a hair dryer to get them off? I have almost 40k on my truck and I'm a little worried that the paint under the sticker is gonna be brighter and you are gonna aee the outline of the sticker. Anybody have any experience with this?

You 'should' be able to do what you said, just heat them and pull them off. I know on my last truck I took mine off at about 10k miles and there was no noticeable difference but I am not sure with that many miles and time in the sun.

After removing them try some wax and it should remove the outline, it will depend on the color of paint you have and amount of oxidation that has occured.
bockhold, I guess he knows it is a 4X4 and doesn't care if anyone else knows, but I have to say that Ford could do better on graphics.

My truck is blue and tan. I think the truck will look cleaner without them.

Use either a hair dryer or heat gun, if you are good with them.
Heat the stickers until they are hot to the touch, unless your hands are oil field hands like mine, then warm to the touch.
Start at the corner and pull.
When enough has come off, pull the sticker almost on top of what is on the truck.
I did not need to clay my truck when I was done, a little wax was enough.

Plus, Junky Plastic stickers on my rig just did not look right anyway. They come off super easy, and if wax does not clean it up, try some very light, light rubbing compound. It will do the trick.
I think if someone "needs to know" I have 4X4, they can look at my hubs

WD-40 works well with old bumper stickers - dont know about on the paint but if nothing else is working - might want to try it. I like the clay bar suggestion afterwards!

If you can get an eraser wheel, that will take it right off and not damage the paint.
