Drove an 08 today

I got a little curious and went to the dealer today They had an 08 f250 crew cab with everything sitting there so i took it for a little drive Thats gotta be the quietest diesel i have sat in as far as in cab noise. As far as the power goes it felt about the same as my father in laws new 6.0

If it wasnt the first year of production for the motor i would probably buy it

But no guinea pig here sorry
That engine compartment makes me feel sorry for Marc, Jon, and Scott it looks you have to pull the cab to do just about anything to it

Yeah I read this morning in the paper that there are 3 on the lot at a dealership down the street from me. I'm curious as anyone so I may go check it out sometime.

i drove an 08 F350 4x4 CC king ranch today. very nice truck but the quiet diesel would take awhile to get used to. i think the stock 6.0 is faster. no turbo lag on the 6.4 but doesnt feel as peppy as the 6.0 does. that step on the tailgate is cool.

The feeling of less pep is probably because it pulls the same all throughout the powerband?

The 6.4L is faster, but I wouldn't buy one.

my truck is getting maintenance done and i have another 6.4 for the day. this one is faster than the first 6.4 i drove last week.

if its quicker than the 6.0 its not noticeable enough. i like it though.
