Heard Bad News About the 08's!!!

talked to the snap on guy and he said while he was at the ford dealership the techs said they sold 5 F-450's and 3 of the 5 have come back within a coule of weeks with CATASTROPHIC engine failures.... he said the techs wouldnt go into wat was wrong with them.

That doesn't sound good. I really hope the guy was misinformed. The american auto industry can't take many more failures.

That is not good news I'm glad i bought my o6 6.0 i figured that there were going to have problems with that new one.I wanted to buy the 6.0 when the first came out but some of my friends told me to Waite a couple of years and i did and still have had a few problems.

They MIGHT have been b/c of overloading. When I talked to the dealer about it, they said that the 24,500 lbs rating was a LITTLE lower than actuallity, but the rating is pretty close to what it can do.

this is true... i was just relaying the messege wanted to put it out there and see what yall said about it or if anyone has heard anything like it.
