I have a Ravelco on my truck. I also have an alarm with all available sensors, back up siren, backup battery and jimmi jammers but the Ravelco is the only security feature i really trust.

Anything short of a good alarm system will probably not do any good. A lot of vehicles are stolen by wrecker trucks so a kill switch is pretty much useless.

Bein sneeky + highlift jack + tire iron + phone call = explination of:

"He musta been tryin to steal my wheels and the jack slipped out and got him. I found him like this when I came out to go to work"

Deputy told Dad that's exactly what needed to happen

think my 09 has a fuel pump shut off on the lower section of right side of dash.
the coded keys also make it difficult as well, with the exception of the pros and wrecker trucks.

Ravelco Anti Theft Device Information - See what makes Ravelco Top of Vehicle Theft Prevention

Its a 16 pin plug that has a female connector which is wired into different parts of the truck i.e. starter, fuel pump, etc. When you remove the plug it breaks the connection and the truck will not start. You can unplug it while the trucks running and it kills it. Theres also dummy wires coming out of the plug that the installer who did mine wired cleanly into the main harness to throw someone off if theyre trying to trace the wires. All the wires are black and they are in a steel braided cable under the dash that goes into the main harness in the engine bay. The pins are unique to each vehicle and Ravelco claims there arent any master plugs. Ive plugged mine into two other trucks with Ravelco's and their truck wouldnt start with mine and my truck wouldnt start with their plugs.

I paid $400 installed for mine. Of course you can do your own kill switch for cheaper but i have a lot of money in my truck and i dont mind spending the money on security to make sure its clean and done right.

Yeah, and coroners report shows 15 gunshots and 6 knife wounds and a crushed chest. Worse case of accidental death he's ever saw.
