Help me out guys

Tell me what I need for a stock 08 F-450 6.4l that I recently bought. With 20,000 miles can I increase the power and keep the warranty or would it be better to just do whatever it needs to breathe and drive it? I'll tow a 16,000# fifth wheel about 6 times a year. Recommendations?

Unhappy

So should I get somes tunes, a dpf delete, new exhaust and say to hell with the warranty.. it'll last and run better with the changes....or what? I'm a new guy here and just trying to learn. I don't mind spending the money to make it run better, I'm used to an 02 F-250 7.3 with AFE, Superchip, and aftermarket exhaust and this F-450 is no fun to drive stock.

Yes get a spartan tuner, a 4'' doc/dpf delete pipe, s&b intake and you will be good to go. Your also not throwing your warranty out the window. If you haul alot like I do buy a tool box and put all your stock parts in the tool box in the bed of your truck incase you brake down. You could actually return to stock on the side of the road if you had to. But the best thing to do before you chip you truck is just go ask the service guy if they are tuner friendly. If there not go find another dealer that will. I had a dpf delete and sct tuner on my truck and the engine blew. I returned to stock and they put a new engine in the truck under warranty

It really depends on your plans. Most people do not tow with hot tunes anyway so it would mostly be for empty driving.

One issue is the smoke and another issue would be inspections.

You could likely save a few bucks on fuel but not all people find a lot of improvement.
