boost psi issues on friends 05.

hey guys, got a friend with an 05 6.0, he had a short block put in it last week, and i put his edge juice/attitude back in it last weekend and everything runs great but after a while his edge controller would shut down, and the factory boost gauge goes dead (which makes sense because map sensor is ran throught the edge) and his CEL comes on. this issue comes and goes, so i hooked up my code reader today and messed with it and came up with a faults for map sensor voltage incorrect but being the idiot i am i forgot what number the code was, so i dinked around with it making sure the wiring was ok and what not, took it out for a test drive and everything was working great no CEL or anything the only funny thing is thats the edge controller was reading around 30 psi of boost while getting on it hard which dont surprise me and seems normal but the factory gauge would go to 20 psi and stop everytime, so i brought it back and took the map sensor off of my 06 6.0 and put on his took it out for a test drive and the same thing happend, the factory gauge only reads 20 psi max. so anyways im just looking for some ideas on whats going on with it. im gonna try removing the edge from the system and see if it acts up stock maybe next weekend, i didnt feel like it today i was too hung over... thanks again guys
