Gas V10 or diesel which is better

Ok this is my friends account, but i was wondering which should i get. im 18 yrs old and like diesel and i am good around them but i cant really afford one. and i want at least a 02 but i can afford a V10 or V8 gas a pick them up cheap should i get one is it worth getting the gasser or should i get a loan which will take me forever to pay back and get the diesel is it worth it??? Well it depends on your budget. If you can pull off buying a diesel then can you afford the maintenance?

Might be better off sticking with an econo-driver until you move up in budget.

well i have about 10k to spend but i dont want a complete pice of s*** of diesel and alot of the ones i have been seeing have so many problems how do you guys like yours and my friend whos account this is would be doing the work on the truck he gose to school for diesel and hes really good yet he has a gasser cause he wants the to wait for the new 6.7l

I got my late 99 f250 7.3L for 6k and it only had 174k miles on it. Really good shape. I think you should just look around until you find yourself a good deal.

true well he told me to get older ones but im not to sure about it he say the 5.4 is more than enough cause i will also be using it to get me to and from college everyday

You wont want a 5.4 in a 3/4 ton. Zero power

And you will get 7 mpg with the v10. If you can swing it get the diesel. If you cant now. Save till you can

yea i would love to have that diesel but kinda need a truck now if you know what i mean sis got the one that i had which was ok and now i have none
