First time at the track..wow

Well a buddy convinced me to run my truck at a local 1/8th mile strip and i was blown away with the performance..but at the same time i dont have much to compare to.. I was actually going to the strip to watch my buddy run his 03 duramax with suncoast stage 4, EFI live, bigger turbo, estimated 550 rwhp, anyways i ended up lining up with him and some how i beat him!. i was running airaid filter replacement, (stock intake) 4" strait, Erics Aggressive Street (not Xtreme)..honestly i had no high expectations for my truck at all as im on stock studs with no major engine upgrades other than tuning, I tell ya the truck just ran great launched good and pulled hard..i knows theres plenty of room for improvement but i was extremely impressed with the truck in its current state, by all means his duramax should have walked away from me.. i also took down a 24v cummins who dynoed out at 420hp (he claimed) but he was also throwin a 6 speed.. so whats the deal is my truck nothing special or did i somehow put together a real runner??? the quickest diesel there was only 3 tenths faster than my best...

Your time looks about right for what you have. You should try an Xtreme tune... My crew cab ran consistant 8.8's (don't remember trap speed) on Xtreme street back in April. With a regular cab you should be a few tenths faster than that.

yeah by all rights i should not have beat him..i think he was having tranny problems..his truck would fall on its face between shifts.. another sweet suncoast tranny!! bottem line the PSD got em from launch to finish..well anyways got a good starting point now..wasnt really sure where i was sitting..thanks

i would def say he had tranny shifting problems if he wasnt running into the low 8's in the 1/8 or else he didnt know how to drive!.i have seen stock turbo'd LB7s run 8.8 in the 1/8 with nuthin but EFILive,tranny build and exhaust!
