New Flash???

Have any of you heard of the new re-flash that is coming out on the 7th. I think it is the 7th. Just wondering what some of the techs may know about it? I have heard that they are going to keep the injectors cycling after shut down, and that 5 sensors will be taken out of the mix. Any info?

Is this for all 6.0s Logan or just certain ones? I heard something awhile back re: the injectors cycling..I thought that they might of including that in th elater years, but I don't know what to listen or look for...

Yeah, all 6ers. Your truck may have the latest flash, and if it does, you will hear a kinda buzzing sound for about 30 seconds after you shut down. If you dont hear that, you dont have the latest flash. But, I think they are coming out with a newer one from that this week, just wondering if any one has heard anything about it?

Mmmmmm, don't think I hear a buzzing under the hood..I hear a deep whoosh right after I shut off for a second or two if that, thought it is just something with the turbo stopping. Will have to check again....I have an early built 07 (6.15.06), so I would probably need the latest flash if they are releasing one.

Thats cool Eric, I think the latest reflash came out after your build date, actually, I am almost 100% sure it did. Sounds like you dont have the latest flash. You would def know if your injectors were cycling or not.

What is this about injectors were cycling after shut down.Is this a recall on the 6.0. Can some one shed some light on this for me.j

No recall, it is the newest flash for the 6.0s, the injector cycling is something they are doing new to help with the life of the injectors. I am not really sure what it does on the inside, but I know if you have it done, you will hear a buzzing for about 30 seconds after you shut down. They have not put the new flash in all truck, but I think they do it if you come in with a power related problem. I am not sure about that, and maybe one of the techs will chime in here before too long. But, the main thing is to help with the life of the injectors.

Thanks Logan does dealer do this i now mine hasn't been done,i don't here any buzz in mine after shutdown.
