gauge install help

so i finally ordered some gauges. i decided to go with autometer phantom IIs, boost, pyro, and trans temp. my buddies are gonna help me do the install but i would still like to see a write up on the installation. i searched and couldnt find anything very helpful. if someone could post a good link that would be great!

quick question, is the anti-seize lubricant necessary on the EGT probe? i dont plan on ever removing it...

one more question... is it possible to put a dimmer switch on these gauges, theyre really bright, but i dont want them on the same dial as my dash cluster.
