New Truck! (06 F-350)

Hey folks,

Just picked up my first ever 2006 F-350 Lariat FX-4 6.0L Turbo Diesel! I hope i made the right choice and im hoping to get some feedback as to what sort of things i may need to be aware of or any tips. Again i've never had a diesel truck before but have had ford trucks. I love this rig so far! Pic below =]

not sure exactly yet but i definately like toyo open country m/t tires...I'm going to look into a nice sounding exhaust too.

Any ideas advice on the exhaust or anything mods that are worth while?

Seriously, dude.....I love that truck. The '08 and '09 versions are beautiful, but there's something about the clean lines of the earlier body style that is appealing to me. Maybe it is the front (especially the '05 to '07 models) end, I am not sure.

That 6.0L is one of the later ones, so you should be okay. From what I have read here, Ford got most of the bugs worked out after the '04 model year.

I don't own a diesel pickup (or any pickup for that matter), but I am a trucker by trade and drive diesel-powered big rigs regularly. I know that there is nothing like the huge amounts of torque you get from an oil-burner.

I will eventually get a pickup truck, even if it is only an F-150 with a gas engine. Doh!
