EGR delete Question

Newbe here ,i just found this forum !I am doing a egr delete with a kit that removes the cooler and blocks off the exhaust and the u pipe for the water .it does not remove the egr valve from intake .my question is does the egr need to be turned off or leave unplug ?

Dont have one for the 6.0 ,it is a friend /customer.

I was replacing the high pressure oil pump fitting that always blows ,and was gonna save them the trouble of the cooler going bad and more labor to change it later.

The EGR delete that I have leaves the EGR in place also and the CEL never did come on.

i sell delete kits, but you will need to get a programmer or something to shut off the system....
