Silencer Ring?

Is there a silencer ring in the 6.0 turbo? If so, can it be removed to improve performance?

you mean like the silencer ring that the cummins guys take out of their HX35's????? if so then there is no performance gain...just a little more whistle.....

there is such a ring i just went and removed mine and the only difference i noticed was more whistle from the turbo itself but no more then befor out the exhaust. i don't have a boost gauge so can't tell if psi has changed but i doubt it.

if there is a silencer ring in them then you should be able to see it....take off your intake filter and tube...then look right inside the intake of the turbo.....you should be able to see a snap ring in there.....get some pliers and take it out....thats how an HX35 is....
