Question on headstud pricing

I'm trying to get an idea of pricing for getting my headstuds done. I contacted a shop in Houston about doing my head studs and also asked about the EGR delete. He told me:

To perform the head stud install job I would pull the cab, pull the heads off the motor, measure the head flatness to make sure they are reusable, and install the studs. For the egr delete I recommend letting me install an '04 up tube, welding the up tube solid to block off egr flow, and leaving a good egr cooler on the vehicle. This will allow you to easily return the vehicle back to stock if you decide to get rid of it and will also save you about 250 dollars on the price of a good egr delete kit. Since the exhaust flow to the egr cooler will be blocked off you have no worries about the cooler leaking b/c the heat and exhaust flow is what ruptures them. Price for the stud job is 2800 out the door parts, labor, tax, and supplies fee all included. Price with the Power Stroke Magic exclusive egr delete and stud install is 2980 (everything included).

Just curious how that sounds to everyone. Thanks in advance.

That sound pretty good to me. My neighbors cost about $3500 for studs and an egr delete kit.

Can't use an 04 up-pipe on a 05 engine. Already tried it and didn't work. The location for the Y off to the EGR is different.
