High mileage excursion question

With the 03 04 6.0's. By the time these enginets hit 110000, will you know if the engine is going to continue to give problems or could all hell break loose at any moment.

I have an 04 with 155k on it no major problems, close friend works at a Ford dealer ship. They found if you use it they have a lot less major problems, short run time or short trips are hard on them.(Fond Du Lac ,WI Farm area). I love my truck and will never go back to a gasser.

Well, I am in Milwaukee. It will sit most of the summer- except for road trips every 2nd or third weekend. It will be my work commuter in the winter- 20 min's each way plus the road trips.
