Data logging on X-ca2?????

So I loaded Livelink IV installed all the drivers and when I hook the x-cal up to the computer it does not connect to the device.

All the other programs find my x-cal its only livelink that is not working.

I made a DLF fie with live link do I need to load this onto the tuner to be able to data log?

It is complicated, that's for sure, but is worth getting operable. You have to create a file with the pids you want to watch, load it on the device, then select the pids on the handheld that you want to watch. Some of the values will not make sense, but once you take your info you datalogged from the handheld and load it back to livelink, it translates it into a graph that is easy to read. You can also pass it through the device directly to a laptop in the vehicle if you wanted, the hanhelds only record for a little bit-90sec. on my X-Cal 2.

Don't think it will help with a tune unless you end up with a wierd problem. I use it to check HPOP and eot vs. ect. Glad I could help.

Took me a few tries to figure out the PID file. Then once it's all together you can run the truck while the graph is displaying on the computer.

You got to select the PIDs to monitor first. It's been a long time for me and I can't recall exactly.
