check engine light

ok as you all know i bought a new truck while i was on vacation in nc......just last week well anyway i drove it 200 miles around there and then about 200 miles on the way home i turned it off at bk so the people could hear me and when i started it back up.....the stupid check engine light came on.......and guess what its a p0401 which is something to do with insuficiant flow for the egr......what do i need to do? i cleared it today at work and it hasent come back on yet......but i really dont want problems lol so i need to fix it b4 something else breaks

ok i cleared the engine light the other day and drove it for another 200 miles and it come back on.......should i replace the egr valve or clean it? where can i get the gasket and o-rings for the valve?

p0401 doesnt mean the egr is clogged alot of the time , does this truck first off have a aftermarket air filter in it , if so that can cause it , if not then , pull the valve and look, 99 out of 100 times if it is a egr valve itself or is clogged the codes will be p0404 or p1335

no the air box is stock.....should i try cleaning the egr.....and this sounds dumb but where is it? now remeber im new lol
