One More Exhaust Question, thats It!

Guys, I was just wondering if I cut my cat (the muffler shop wont cut the cat off) and muffler off and drove my truck to the local muffler shop and had it piped in between would the 3.5 straight stock exhaust do me for a while until I could afford the whole system?

i would thank that would be fine until u get a programmer or a chip. you should notice some drop in temp with the muffler and kitty gone

No, I'm bone stock and looking for a cheap mod! I am going to do the whole exhaust system in a month or so. Just thinking about dropping the stock muff and/or kitty for a little more sound and maybe some mileage.

so you want to run straight pipe all the way? of course you can. lots and lots of people do it. i hade mine like that for almost 2 years till i got sick of the whistle of my 03 turbo.
no harm in any way, what-so-ever.

you will be fine with just 3.5 pipe. there is a bunch of folks running it that away

Will it hurt to cut the kitty off and drive it to the muff shop that way?

in my opinion just as long as it not to far and you were easy with it. if it was me i would take them off measure the distance and go to muffler shop and have them made then put them on. that way there i would know i wasnt going to hurt anything but thats just me

believe me, you will NOT hurt anything. like i said and probably a thousand others have, running without a cat or muffler is perfectly fine. probably 70% of the people on here run without anything.
go to youtube and search 69charged. that is what it sounds like without anything on it. i would paste the link but i am at work and it wont let me.
it will help lower egt's when pulling or at any time for that matter. probably see a mpg improvement to is you can keep your foot out of it cause it sounds good when you tramp on it.


i think i am reading this wrong. sorry guys. you want to run with no pipe after the downpipe to the muffler shop? right? you will still be ok to go to the shop.
