The previous owner of my truck performed this mod. I'll get pics up tomorrow of what he did. He used screws to cover the holes with regular screen to keep the bugs and junk out. I can really hear it sucking air when I shut the truck off. Maybe the AFE helps with that though. I'd recommend it.

All it is is a hole cut out in front of the air filter so it can draw more air in. When you remove the grille you will be amazed that you motor was even able to run. Cut out about a 4' X 6" hole and cover with some fine mesh screen replace the grill and have fun!

Here's my zoodad. Easy cheap mod. At cruising speed My IAT1=IAT2 or the air temp in the intake manifold is the same as the ambient temperature. Well worth the few minutes it takes.
