ICP sensor bad in 6.0 L what and where is it???/

Have 03 6.0L has hard start but runs great when warm. diagnostics show ICP sensor bad. why can't I find any info on it??? Where is it?// can i change it myself. Mechanic also says ICP pigtail must be replaced, oil leaking on it . This just started why is the pigtail so bad? We have Chilton manual and other info but no mention Of ICP. Advice badly needed.

I "think" on the early models its in the back of the engine, the newer ones are up front on the passenger side valve cover.... email powerstrokehelp.com

03 engines it is on the rear of the motor up underneath the turbo. you gotta take the little heat shield off, i think it is 3 10mm bolts and then u need a 1 1/16 sensor socket to fit the icp and take it out. did one on my 03, wasnt too bad once u find it. i got to mine from underneath with it on a lift. kinda need skinny arms or u will scrape yourself up. hope this helps.

I replaced mine without replacing the wiring and it is just fine. As mentioned, it is behind that heat shield, once you get that off it's an easy job.
