turbo silencer question
So my friend wants me to take the silencer out of his turbo on his 05 6.0 diesel, is this hard to do and will it really make it that much louder?
thanks, trevor |

IM PRETTY SURE ONLY DODGES HAVE SILENCER RINGS, BUT YOU MIGHT WANT TO DOUBLE CHCK

If I remember right all Garrett turbos have the silencer built in and it can't just simply be removed. It has to be machined and even then it usually damagers the turbo. On a Holset turbo (dodge) it is pressed in and can be removed easily. But don't quote me on that

The older '03 turbos could be removed, the '04-newer housings need to be machined. If you want your friends money go for it, but you wouldn't be much of a friend at all.
